Privacy Policy

The Short Version

Page 214 does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There are no accounts, no logins, no cookies (beyond analytics), and no databases. Every calculation runs entirely in your browser. Your data stays on your device. If you choose to use the optional "My Defaults" feature, that data is stored in your browser's localStorage on your device only — it is never transmitted anywhere.

Page 214 does not collect any of the following: names, email addresses, phone numbers, Social Security numbers, military service records, DD-214 information, financial data, health information, VA claim details, or any other personally identifiable information (PII).

No information you enter into any calculator or tool is transmitted to any server. All inputs remain in your browser session and are cleared when you close the page.

Page 214 offers an optional "My Defaults" feature that allows you to save common inputs (such as branch of service, rank, VA disability rating, and state of residence) so they auto-fill across tools. This feature is entirely opt-in — tools work exactly the same without it.

If you choose to save defaults, that data is stored using your browser's localStorage — a standard browser feature that keeps data on your device only. This data is never transmitted to Page 214 or any third party. It is never sent to any server, never included in analytics, and never accessible to anyone other than you on your device.

You can view, edit, or delete your saved defaults at any time by clicking the "My Defaults" link in any tool's navigation bar. Clicking "Clear All" permanently removes all saved data. Clearing your browser's site data will also remove any saved defaults.

Page 214 uses Google Analytics (measurement ID: G-36KG91QS69) to collect anonymous usage statistics such as page views, session duration, referral sources, and general geographic region. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify individual users.

Google Analytics may set cookies in your browser. You can opt out by using your browser's cookie settings, installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or using a browser that blocks third-party cookies by default.

Page 214 does not set any first-party cookies. The only cookies that may be set are those placed by Google Analytics (third-party). No cookies are used for advertising, tracking across sites, or personalization.

If you install Page 214 as a PWA on your device, the site may cache files locally using a service worker to enable offline access. This cached data consists only of the site's HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files — never your personal inputs or calculation results.

Page 214 links to external websites including VA.gov, DFAS.mil, TRICARE.mil, and others. These sites have their own privacy policies. Page 214 is not responsible for the privacy practices of external websites.

Page 214 is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.

If this policy is updated, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
